Designed to make fieldwork easier, the AMS Trex Communicator allows for comfortable one-handed operation, even in tight and confined spaces. Its built-in USB and WiFi connectivity make bidirectional data transfer simple and seamless.
Equipped with a durable lithium-ion battery, the device can be used in the field for extended hours, even powering instruments directly during configuration without depleting the battery. The large touchscreen, task-focused user interface, and modern user experience help increase productivity. Field changes are automatically synchronized with the AMS Device Manager database. With its control panel, advanced diagnostic features, and troubleshooting guidance, the AMS Trex Communicator is an indispensable tool for resolving field issues efficiently.

Trex is equipped to power field instruments directly, eliminating the need for external power sources or resistors. This design saves time and reduces the need to carry additional equipment. Since the field instrument powered by the Trex unit is isolated from the rest of the system, it becomes easy to pinpoint whether issues originate from the power supply, cabling, I/O card, or configuration.
Thanks to its “power the loop” feature, the Trex Communicator enables instrument configuration even in projects where the field has not yet been energized, streamlining commissioning and startup processes.
